Funding of IMPRS students

IMPRS Master Students

24 months of the study phase will be covered by monthly IMPRS stipends (NB and NIP master´s program) and stipends offered by the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research (CM master´s program).

 

IMPRS Doctoral Students

During the research phase, doctoral students will be funded by the lab at which they are conducting their research. Additional funding is available to support IMPRS doctoral students in their career:

  • Bridging Funds – to ease the transition from the master´s phase into the doctoral program
  • Travel Funds – for conferences, professional development and off-campus research. IMPRS doctoral students may receive financial means in the amount of maximally 800 € per year over a period of 3 years.
  • Wrap-up Grants – to finalize research work and publications and to go towards a following postdoctoral project.

 

Administrative Support

The GTC and the IMPRS coordinator guide students in obtaining the necessary visas, finding short- and long-term housing, identifying career opportunities, arranging childcare, securing health insurances, setting up a bank account, completing administrative form and handling any issues that may arise.
