No decisions yet on whether and if so, how much longer classroom teaching might be suspended beyond April 20th.

There is still no official announcement regarding a possible start of teaching after April 20th, for good reasons. However, with all due caution I dare to say that April 21st will not see any regular classroom teaching in full numbers.

The Rektor of the UoT called all lecturers to prepare for an extraordinary summer term, converting from classroom to online teaching as much and wherever that might be possible.

Some of us might now immediately think of videomeetings, chatrooms etc. However, a complete transfer of all lectures and seminars to videomeetings would result in an inevitable breakdown of any online platforms available to the UoT. Therefore, several work groups are now preparing simple concepts and examples to support our lecturers and students. These will be forwarded to our lecturers and then to the students in the next days.
